Welcome to the Boreham Ladies Choir
The Boreham Ladies Choir

Boreham Ladies ChoirThe Boreham Ladies Choir started 10 years ago when some of the teachers at Boreham Primary School got together to learn some songs for the retirement of the head teacher under the direction of Susannah Edom who was the deputy head teacher at the school at that time.

The Boreham Ladies Choir still meets at the Boreham Primary School and has grown from an ensemble of 10 to a choir of around 40 singers.  The choir has been directed by Simon Warne and accompanied by Edward Montgomery since 2007.  In the last year the choir has sung in the Mayor's Charity Showcase at the Civic Theatre, joined a congregation of animal lovers and dogs at the Willow Tree Animal Sanctury carol service at Chelmsford Cathedral and recently enjoyed music and food at a music festival near Lille in Northern France.

St. John's Church Concert

The Boreham Ladies Choir concert at St. John's Church, Moulsham Street, Chelmsford on Saturday 5th July was certainly a success.  The new repertoire, recently introduced by the musical director Simon Warne, was certainly a breathe of fresh air and was enjoyed by all who attended.
Guest baritone Chris Ruscoe lived up to his normal high standard and entertained all with a wide range of songs.
The choir would like to thank the congregation of St. John's Church for the use of their Church and their warm welcome.  The choir hope to arrange more concerts in the near future after a well earned summer rest.
